Alice René
Responsible for the Bioethic Regulation, CNRS
After a few years of professional experience in research (fundamental neurosciences, applied cellular therapy), I decided to reorient my carrier in research coordination and bioethic issues.
My position as head for application of bioethic regulation at CNRS allows me to use my scientific knowledge, my transversal competences (project management, communication skills) as well as new skills in law and regulations.
The field of bioethic, as a bridge between society and science is an always evolving frontier. Taking part in it is fascinating.
I am opened to advices and meetings for new perspectives in the field of bioethics and biomedical regulations.
Thank you for visiting my profile.
Research in Stem Cell Therapy (post doctorate), Institut de Radioprotection et de Sécurité Nucléaire, IRSN, Fontenay aux roses
2008 - 2009Project Manager in Research and Development in Stem Cell therapy, Laboratoire de Radiopathologie et Thérapies Expérimentales
In vivo and ex vivo development of neuromuscular damages after radiation and of therapeutic benefit thanks to cellular therapy
I was in charge of the development of a project on the therapeutic effect of stem cells on intestinal function: I had to determine the neuronal and muscular part of the benefits in order to prove the involvement of the nervous system. Thanks to new physiological concepts and tests I developed, I performed an original physiological study on colonic motility. I then achieved the experimental proof of the therapeutic benefit of stem cell and transmitted this know-how when I left the lab. Thanks to new skills learned in the lab, I also studied structural plasticity in the enteric nervous system that confirms the involvement of the nervous system.
Competences : Development of evaluation tools of stem cell therapy and validation tools for the mechanisms ; Conception of research protocols ; Inclusion of the budget ; Scientific watch ; Internal and external communication ; Know-how transmission ; Setting up collaborations
Techniques: Cell Culture; Histology and cellular labelling ; Surgery on anesthetized animal ; Muscular physiological and pharmaceutical study
2001 - 2007Junior scientist in Neurosciences, Laboratoire de Neurosciences Intégratives et Computationnelles
I studied neuronal and functional plasticity in the adult visual cortex thanks to electrophysiological recordings.
skills: Conception and optimization of research protocols; Analysis and synthesis of the results; Communication (international meeting presentation, scientific paper writing...); Scientific watch and bibliographical synthesis
Techniques: Intra- and extracellular in vivo recordings; Microsurgery on anesthetized animal; Informatics and bioinformatics (programming and statistics)
1999 - 1999Research on influence of prosody on syntactic desambiguation
