Armelle Rouffignac
Global Pricing Manager, FCI Holding France
After a first orientation into scientific studies (preaparation for engineering schools) I realized I didn't want to end up as being a chemistry engineer.
I then re-oriented myself into Supply Chain activities which really teased me and got me on tracks.
It allowed me to approach on concept: transversality, critical to me and which I could then apply to various work experiences (Distribution, industry supply chain, and Demand Management)
My whish is to mature towards more responsible positions (Strategic Marketing, global product management) , allowing me to maintain this key element.
Monitor and track Raw material pass through implementation to the customer.
Proposed and implemented the swtich to using a new information system to better control our pricing.
streamline payment terms and payables management to reduce days sales out.
2004 - 2012Company Designing and manufacturing connectics in 4 divisions:
Automotive (harnesses, Electronic control units, safety restraint systems, car multimedia), Electonics (cell phones, computers, boards assy), Electrical (power generators and distribution), Micro-connections (RFID, smart cards)
Working myself in Automotive Division business Unit
• Consolidating customer demand, establishing monthly 18 months rolling forecasts within S&OP process. Follow-up and action plan along with reliability indicators. Turnover projection in detail (by customer, product line, application, production site, car line project…) and comparison with budget figures.
• Analysis and verification of customer plants procurement to prevent logistics crisis.
• Consolidation of plant’s sales budget in collaboration with sales and bi-annual revisions to bring modifications to production plans and investments.
• Formalization of the strategic action plan (3year turnover projection)
1999 - 2003California based company designing and assembling multi-axis robotic arms and associated controllers (San Jose, CA)
Sr. Manufacturing/ Process Engineer July 2001- January 2003
• Participating in NPI (New Product Introduction) projects. Writing Production Plan for product introduction, coordinating NPI purchasing, planning, and production capacity on the floor. Supervising Design for Manufacturability, BOM and Routings implementation in ERP system from prototype to production. Bringing support in Document Control writing ECOs.
• Conducting continuing improvement team to bring more visibility between procurement and production functions. Promote a pro-active versus a reactive environment. Resulted in better communication and understanding between departments and a more favorable work environment.
• Provide technical support to the mechanical assembly lines and final test. Work in relationship with planning, purchasing, production and sales-ops to streamline communication and ensure on-time delivery.
Jr. Industrial/ Process Engineer June 1999- July 2001
• Remodeled assembly lines using DFT (Demand Flow Technology) principles and applying ‘Mixed Model Lines’ concept. Reduced “in process” and “finished goods” inventory by 80%.
• Set up a pick line for customer order configured shipments. Took in account the progressive packing sequence to streamline flow and smooth the pick process. Lead an audit team to ensure quality of shipments.
• Provided a systematic approach to setting up new production lines. Wrote procedure documents, provided computing tools to ensure a consistent approach.
1996 - 1998• Assessed efficiency of supply chain (purchasing Transportation, storage, distribution) for wood products in stores throughout France. Designed distribution plans that optimized inventory levels, truck loading for delivery runs and reduced volume of “returned” goods.
• Drafted software specifications for “decision-making” aid inventory tool. Used tools to help stabilize inventory levels.
