Bastien CAILLARD
Project Engineer/Manager, EU-VRi (European Virtual Institute for Integrated Risk Management)
Graduated in October 2010 as Engineer in Mechanical and Material Engineering (Ecole des Mines d’Alès, FRANCE). In the same time, he obtained a Master in Management of International Projects (Strasbourg University, FRANCE). During his last internship in EU-VRi (March 2010-August 2010), he has mainly developed some skills in two areas: the management of European projects (e.g. Alfa-Bird and ETPIS) and the risk assessment related to new materials, new energies, etc, through the INNO[SAFE&CLEAN] project. He continued to work for EU-VRi after his internship and is, now, also involved in economical evaluation of the use of biofuels in aircraft industry.

- Frequent contacts in English language with the Steering Committee (AIRBUS, ONERA, DLR, IFP) and the work package leader to monitor the technical progress of the project
- Administrative management: amendments to the grant agreement and the consortium agreement
- Organisation of coordination meetings and teleconferences - Organisation of the 2nd internal workshop in Toulouse (~50 participants with speakers from Europe, USA, South Africa, Canada…)
- Contribution to the management of other projects in the portfolio of EU-VRi
- Preparation of proposals corresponding to FP7 calls or other collaborative projects in the field of risk management
- Preparation of tenders for industrial or institutional clients, in the field of risk management
- Contribution to the organisation of events related to the operation of the EEIG EU-VRi.
Part-Time: 70% for EU-VRi (EEIG - European Economic Interest Grouping) and 30% for Steinbeis Advanced Risk Technologies (Founding members of EU-VRi)
