Benjamin Jean

I worked for LINAGORA and the FniLL (French National Federation of Open Source Software Industry) as corporate lawyer and open source legal expert and as Head of Open Source law Center.

I also work as a legal adviser (within law firms and companies) and am involved in several working teams about open source governance and/or open source licensing (FniLL, Syntec Informatique, etc.). I'm writing a thesis on Open Source and teach IP in several Masters.

I coorganized the First European Opensource Lawyers Event and am working on the EOLE conferences cycle. I also co-founded, few years ago, a French (community) project, named Veni Vidi Libri, which aims to inform the developers of non-free software/content about free/OS licenses and to help them using free licenses. Finally, I'm president of the SARD (Society of acceptance and distribution of gifts)
