Bruno DAVID
Software project Manager, Sagem DS - Safran Electronics
Graduated in microelectronics engineering (master degree equivalence) in 1998, I started my career as field application engineer on micro-controller and on logical analyzer.
This experience allowed me to improve my knowledge on micro controller architecture, low-level software design constraints and also to develop communication skills with customers, through technical support and training on products I was responsible for.
In year 2000, I made a "90 degree turn", by moving toward embedded software development. My first "software engineer job", as a smart card reader software designer, convinces me to stay in the embedded software engineering development.
I joined PSA Peugeot Citroen in 2002, in the embedded software department, where I worked as software designer, software design manager and software integration manager. This 8 years period allowed me to work on every v-cycle phases and to acquire very strong knowledge on embedded and real-time software development process.
After this experience in automotive industry, I decided to move to aeronautical industry, as software project manager. My choice was motivated by the will to deploy DO-178B process and also to apply my technical and management skills to this field.
