My name is Caroline Layoun. I am a Lebanese Senior Graphic Designer. I speak 3 languages fluently Arabic (my native language), English and French and a little bit of Spanish (some words hehe).
I enjoy art, movies, photography, music, dance, fashion, traveling, meeting new people and discovering new places, and cooking :) looove food and new restaurants! I also enjoy and appreciate handcrafts.
I have worked as a freelancer in several companies stated below and also at SABIS® Educational Services as a full time employee since 2006 until this day. I have also done my own freelance work.
I am enrolling at ESMOD to pursue fashion courses.
2011 - 2012I enrolled in fashion courses at ESMOD for this year.
I was always interested in the fashion industry so i decided to learn more about it.
I started as a freelancer for 3 months then became a full time employee. i was responsible for everything print- from meeting with clients, brainstorming of projects, coming up with several concepts, to developing them with constant feedback from clients, to reaching a final solution. I loved working in a team.
Design I do includes: Brochures, Flyers, Invitation Cards, Calendars, Newsletters, Ads, Billboards, Stationary, Promotional Items, Banners, Posters, Signage, Campaigns...
Need to add that SABIS® Educational Services S.A.L. (SES) has been entrusted with the management of the global SABIS® School Network, which encompasses 77 sister schools around the world operates in 15 countries and educates over 64,000 students. We at SABIS® Educational Services S.A.L. (SES) develop the network in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia and manage the university (in Kurdistan Erbil) and schools. I work for the head company which is located in Lebanon for all the 77 schools worldwide as a senior graphic designer - emphasis print. Website: www.sabis.net
2005 - 2005I handled part of a campaign for Schwarzkopf Bonacure: Created some Ads and Brochures in addition to other campaigns for insurance companies and hardware stores.
2005 - 2005Mainly learnt how the Pre-Press job works: for example the CMYK artwork is created and then separated into four colours (Cyan,Magenta, Yellow, BlacK) which combine to create the full spectrum of colours and screen printing inks which can be used to work with a variety of materials, such as textiles, ceramics, wood, paper, glass, metal, and plastic... So my job there was helping them but at the same time i have helped myself. Not too many people get the chance to have an internship in a press but it is an essential part of our work.
