Chris Kimble
Associate Professor
I have over 20 years of experience as an academic in France and the UK. During which time I have published two books and more than 80 articles in books, journals and conferences and developed several new degree programmes.
I am the Senior Academic editor for the journal Global Business and Organizational Excellence, and on the editorial boards of the journals Information Research and e-Minds. I have also supervised and/or examined 17 PhD students and have built a network of international connections.
Most of my recent work is focused on Communities of Practice and the generation and maintenance of knowledge. In particular, I have become interested in how technology can support collaborative forms of work such as Communities of Practice when they are geographically distributed and cross cultural and linguistic boundaries.
I also retain an interest in the links between information systems and organizations. Further details of my research interests can be found here:
