2007 - 2008End-of-study work-placement during 28 weeks at the Pacific Centre for Environment and Sustainable Development à l'University of the South Pacific. The subject was the adaptation and the implementation of the Design for Sustainability (D4S) methodology developed by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). I was working as a consultant within a Fijian textile company and led several workshops. The goal was to design a backpack whose characteristics are adapted to the local needs along the product life cycle and especially for its end of life. The results have been a product with better social and environmental impacts, an adaptation of the D4S method to the Small Islands Developing States and the introduction of the concepts of industrial ecology. 1 publication were accepted and presented in the LCE (Life Cycle Engineering) Conference at the University of New South Wales (Australia):
