Midas was created in 1956 in the town of Macon, Georgia (USA). In 2006 : Midas Europe = 8 countries : France, Spain, Belgium, Italy, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Morocco, Brazil. 630 shops. 85% are franchised. + 315 million euros in retail sales (excluding VAT), + 2 million customers, + 3 million repairs , 838 employees (excluding franchisees). Midas Worldwide: 18 countries, 2700 shops, 11 master franchises.
Keys to the company’s success : appointment-free service, speed of execution and price transparency, provided for all vehicles, irrespective of make.

I am in charge of the profitability of all the franchise shops to prevent financial difficulties and reduce bad debt.
Set up Electronic Invocing project and put in place the Working Capital project.

10 year experience optimizing the control of Working Capital by financial analyses of probability of short-term default and by managing the credit collection team. Implementation of processes to improve cash flow and reduce receivables and write-offs.

In November 1994, when I was contacted for a temporary assignment at the accounts receivables and credit collection department at Bayer Pharma, I decided to stop the DESS “start up companies diploma” at University of Paris XII, to join the team of an international company.

One year later, I was Credit Manager Junior and in 1996, and won the 1st place fellowship of Association of French Credit Managers & Consultants, in 1996.

Now, I run analyses of probability of short-term default on our subsidiaries customers in different sectors (car manufacturing, textiles, pharmacy, paper, large-scale distribution, cosmetics, chemistry …) and manage the credit collection team.
