2012 - 2012Wealth management consulting - Customer relationship management
Provider of a CRM and a financial flows aggregation software destinated to wealth management advisors, created in 2008, ManyMore is a startup offering its services to great names in banking and insurance.
In a context of IT department restructuration, I assured the technical management of ManyMore and accompanied the growth and the development of the team, especially in :
- increasing by 100% the number of developers (5 to 10 people)
- separating expertise layers and specializing profiles (design, integration, development)
decompartmentalising offices in an open space to ease communication between the different poles
- providing continuous education on user experience issues (usability, mock-up compliance)
- sensitizing the team on web pages response time (Load Balancing, Memcached, MySQL, Google Page Speed)
2011 - 2012Online gaming and free lottery
French web pioneer, Mediastay is the entity behind many successful entertainment sites, such as Bananaloto, Kingoloto or the game portal GamesPassport.
To satisfy the desire to renew online lottery concepts, I joined the technical team responsible to overhaul Kingoloto, whose development was realized in the strict compliance of Agile methods (Post-it, Backlog, Daily Scrum Meeting, ... etc.).
Many auxiliary elements, so-called "of gamification" were added to the original game mechanic. The most notable changes are the inclusion of an experience bar, trading card series designed to reward the loyalty of the user, as well as bonus or event grids boosting the user path.
In a lesser temporal way, but for a strategically more important stake, I also realized a conversion process for databases, from the ISO-8859-15 to the UTF-8 international encoding, to allow Mediastay products opening to emerging markets.
2010 - 2011International sport betting and odds comparator - Research and development
Major player in sport betting comparison, present in 9 countries, Wincomparator is a start-up founded in 2008, whose long-term objectives are statistical prediction of match outcomes.
In a context of strengthening technical and architectural Wincomparator teams, my role as expert brings me to define business requirements and analyze the correlation of specifications evolutions with the deployed structural edifices.
In order to reduce the CPU time overload and database exchanges related to the continuous and sustained importation of sporting data flow provided by various global repositories, I designed and developed a new import system. Based on a file cache storage of previously imported data, and a batch update, the new system appears more effective and efficient.
The exploration of business data allowed me to highlight the structural weaknesses inherent to the initial design, against the exponential growth of received, processed and historized data (100 million of records). To significantly improve performance, organization and enrichment of the system, I work on a new database by the way of an UML design focused on information fragmentation.
Result of a perpetual evolution, the system will be soon improved by setting modular datasets in a distributed memory cache, allowing a quick elements propagation and update, especially those which constitute the heart of the system (sport, tournament, match, bet, odd).
These research topics aim to establish a relevant base and an efficient distribution of the sporting information, materializing the necessary support to the realization of Wincomparator’s purpose, namely predictive and statistical analysis, and dynamic, combinatorial of the sporting information.
The strong technical expertise of Wincomparator is based on well known tools : Photoshop, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript (JQuery), AJAX, PHP 5 (PDO, Reflection), MySQL 5, APACHE, file cache and memory cache (Memcached).
It is with curiosity that I explore the sector of online sport betting comparison, its emerging business and its awakening structural aspects. Business information systems being today at the prototype stage, I see an excellent opportunity of adventure and an achievement of a major project.
2009 - 2010Automobile price comparator - Customer relationship management
GRC WEB, a dynamic start-up created in 2009 working in the Internet and customer relationship industries, publishes a price comparator and a CRM linked to car dealers, whose Colin group (company founded in 1927, 100 millions euros of turnover), from which she is the historical supplier.
As part of a major technical teams restructuration, my managerial skills lead me to recruit and supervise a team of three persons, composed of an apprentice in Licence L3 Web Developer (21 years), a multipurpose junior web developer (23 years) and an senior polyvalent web developer (31 years).
Having been initially charged with the redesign of the group's website Colin exposing vehicles for sale, my involvement in the company and my direct relationship with the CEO allowed me to promote a policy of reuse in each project carried out, by placing a generic approach in the business model.
By doing tabula rasa of the past, I eliminated, through an intelligent UML design and fully automated processes, the painful tasks of system update that affected the development activities of the company in confining it to a unconstructive role of maintenance.
The exploitation of the 61 brands, 780 models, 1753 finishes, 4112 motorizations, 12,261 vehicles, 496,527 options and 613,836 equipments of the worldwide repository EurotaxGlass, used in conjunction with constructors colors and images databases, has significantly enhanced the attractiveness and completeness of the comparator, while providing it the consistency that befits to a project of this scale.
The innovative features of this site are, firstly its uniqueness in the market, and secondly its fully AJAX search engine with a choice between 14 filters, including a non-exclusive selection among 12 basic colors. In addition, each retailer proposing its vehicles, as well as each user requesting a quote, is automatically geolocated. Users choose then, to plebiscite the distributor which is offering the best prices, or the closest in distance. In addition, it becomes possible for distributors to map their potential customers and therefore define a "sales territory".
The technologies used in GRC WEB reflect the best tools available: Photoshop, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript (JQuery), AJAX, APACHE, NGINX, PHP 5 (PDO, Reflection), MySQL 5, file cache and memory cache (Memcached).
I discovered with interest the car distribution sector, its relationship with the constructor and his desire for independence, in terms of identity and representation. This first management experience was rich in lessons, with the satisfaction of having participated in the stimulation and development of the technical potential of my team
2008 - 2009Generic and international price comparator - Research and Development
Shopping search engine referencing 260 million offers in 15 countries, Twenga is a startup founded in 2006, winner of the Red Herring 100 Europe 2009 rewarding the most promising technological companies.
In a context of global economic crisis, I participated actively in the diversification of Twenga's activities by realizing the co-launching of the Travel section, which groups to date more than 160,000 hotels worldwide.
In order to provide a community aspect to Twenga and improve its ergonomy, I also had to work in the team in charge to develop the third version of the website.
The technologies employed at Twenga cover whole of the technics available today: XHTML, CSS, JavaScript (JQuery), AJAX, Web services (SOAP), APACHE, PHP 5, MySQL 5 with high availability and large scale features such sharding and replication.
I especially appreciated the degree of technicity of the Twenga's staff through which I shared and improve my knowledge on the SEO, the use of file cache (Smarty) and memory cache (Memcached).
2005 - 2008Health - Mutual insurance
Human sized company, the Mutual of Electricity and Gas Industries is an entity whose vocation is to become the mandatory third level of health refund for Electricity and Gas agents.
MUTIEG's information system is split in two parts: a business part managing benefits and subscriptions outsourced into a specialized organization, the other non-business administrated internally.
As non-business chief information officer, I developed the growth of MUTIEG's computer network during three years in which I could follow the evolution of user needs, especially in realizing a complete overhaul of a simulation tool for reimbursement of dental expenses, generating PDF documents which can be sent to members on the Internet.
I was interested in discovering the mutual sector, and complementary skills to my training. It was during this apprenticeship that I chose to specialize myself in web technologies, through the use of Photoshop, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, APACHE, PHP 5 (FPDF, PDO, Reflection) and MySQL 5.
2002 - 2004Young children supervisor for the cities of Athis-Mons and Draveil
