ECAS is the first independent European Society dedicated to the field of Cardiac Arrhythmias or heart rhythm disturbances.
Its main mission is to promote excellence in the care of patients with cardiac arrhythmias by improving the education of physicians and allied professionals in charge of arrhythmia patients.

Plenary Sessions and Symposia will cover the various hot topics of modern arrhythmology and will be addressed by internationally known speakers. Two major topics will be highlighted this year Arrhythmias from mechanisms to management and Implantable device therapy: Current and future role.
Workshops: Workshops on practical aspects of clinical arrhythmology seven of which were particularly successful in previous years will be part of the 2012 program:
- Update on catheter ablation of atrial brillation
- Interpretation of intracardiac recordings
- Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT)
- CRT and Pacemaker ECG interpretation
- Techniques and tools for AF ablation
- Recent developments in anticoagulation for stroke prevention
Abstracts for oral or poster presentation : Abstracts on all cardiac arrhythmia are welcomed and will be presented during simultaneous oral sessions entirely devoted to the most recent research and will not compete with plenary lectures or workshops. The accepted poster presentations will be chaired and the presenting author will highlight their work to the chairpersons.
