Eric de Chabot
Responsable des achats indirects, région EMEA, Kohler Co
I studied at the European Business School of Paris (specialisation International Business).
In 1997, I started my professional career at MPO (6th international CD & DVD manufacturer). During 3.5 years at the Head Office in Mayenne, I set up customer service department of 4 people. I was in charge of the production planning, the warehouse and all the deliveries.
Then I moved to Spain, to become responsible of a fulfilment centre based in Barcelona. I was leading a team of 25 persons, doing pick and pack and distributing products all over Spain, Portugal and Italy. After improving the profitability of this centre, I was tasked to shut down the business for strategic reason.
Then I moved to London, to become logistic and purchasing manager in a bigger subsidiary of the MPO group. I was in charge of a team of 5 people. I negotiated payment terms, implemented SLA (Service Level Agreement). I outsourced the storage capacity...
After 3 years I moved to Sonopress part of Bertelsmann Group, 2nd biggest CD and DVD manufacturer worldwide. As Purchasing controller, I was in charge of a spend of 35M€ for the UK. I was also responsible of the supply of plastic boxes to the European factories (France, Germany, Spain, Ireland; spend 120M€). In that matricial organisation, I was also in charge of a spend of 3M€ worldwide for plastic films.
At the end of 2008, I decided to leave the Media industry to move to something else.
I got back to France, based in Toulouse and started to work as a consultant for the plane industry at Airbus.
