Unit : PESSAC (Physico-chemistry and Ecotoxicology of Soils from Contaminated Agrosystems)

In the Phytopharmacy and Semiochemicals Research Unit (UPMC), I was the head of a little research group of environmental analysis.

We aimed to develop analytical methods to quantify pesticides and degradation products in the environment. We worked especially on sample treatment and its coupling with mass spectrometry to obtain fast, automatic, specific and sensitive methods.
These methods are used for monitoring in ecotoxicology reserach programs.

Moreover I analysed and identified protein samples by peptide mass fingerprinting in MALDI-TOF-MS. This device was also used for accurate mass measurement of small molecules.

My objectives :
* Development of extraction methods (SFE, ASE) of toxic chemicals in various matrices (soils, liquids, solids, ...)
* Development of GC quantitation methods of these chemicals.
* Management of several devices in a Cofrac EN 45001 and ISO 9001 environment

* Development of an assessment method for the interaction of a protein and antithrombotic polysaccharides, by capillary electrophoresis (collaboration IFREMER - AVENTIS)
* Enzymatic reaction monitoring, in capillary electrophoresis.

Correlation with physical properties.
