I am a legal expert specialized in sports and have 2 years of experience in sport’s management. Now I would like to pursue my career working in international sport event’s organization. I am currently looking for a full-time position and can offer proven skills in project management as well as commitment, energy and a real enthusiasm. I will be available from May 2010.
2008 - 2009- Administrative and financial Tasks:
o Managed the RCT Association and its actions.
o Developed management tools, such as process guidelines and business plans for each project.
o Negotiated grants with a deputy and public institutions (total of € 700,000), attended meetings, presented grants applications and wrote final agreements.
o Analysed suppliers proposals and negotiated contracts, e.g.: insurance policy and caterer
o Forecast the annual budget (€ 1,200,000).
o Controlled and analysed financial results to determine a strategy and next year’s budget.
- Human resources:
o Supervised 8 employees, 2 interns and 50 volunteers (administratives and technical staff): organized monthly staff meeting and defined action plans.
o Conducted interviews to recruit employees: a rugby school’s secretary, a coach, a waitress.
o Found formations for employees’ vocational training, e.g.: accountancy, first aid training.
o Conducted annual individual interviews: assessed employees’ skills and defined new objectives to reach.
- Legal management:
o Examined collective agreements and new employment laws to update contracts.
o Negotiated and wrote conventions for sponsors.
o Surveyed legal texts evolution from both the government and the French Rugby Union.
o Insured the good application of internal rules and statutes.
- Other projects:
o Created monthly newsletters for club’s partners.
o Proposed a sustainable development’s project with a business plan and a budget of € 100,000.
o Developed rugby activities at school for 800 children from Toulon’s area.
o Implemented a rugby holiday’s center (capacity of 50 people) to create additional revenue.
o Supervised a 2-day tournament for 350 young players.
o Directed a rugby-training center made of 18 players applying to enter the professional squad.
2007 - 2008- Survey on national nautical sports:
o Conducted a survey asked by twelve French Unions from Nautical activities.
o Created questionnaires for more than 2000 clubs in France and defined method of statistical analysis.
o Delegated tasks to a research department and controlled the evolution of each stage.
- Project for Sustainable Development:
o Researched actions led in France by sport associations.
o Organized a contest to reward best clubs.
o Collected club’s files and directed a panel of judges to elect winners.
o Compiled information to write an article on a Sustainable Development communication strategy.
2007 - 2007- Survey on Local Nautical Activities:
o Conducted a survey on nautical leisure activities.
o Investigated 30 sailing centers from the Finistère to collect information.
- Interceltic Watersports Games 2007 in Carantec (Finistère):
o Assisted organisation to welcome 400 people from United Kingdom, Ireland and Spain.
o Organized a race committee and handled referees headquarters.
o Supervised the campside and brought logistical help.
o Assembled communication means on competition’s site.
2001 - 2007- Sailing instructor:
o Coached windsurf and optimist teams for championship during winter.
o Taught sailing to children/adolescents during summer.
o Supervised a team of instructors and prepared future instructors.
o Participated in the organization of local and international sailing races (administrative paperwork and races circuits determination) until July 2009.
- Administrative and technical assistant:
o Developed a PC management tool.
o Planned summer season activities: assigned tasks and schedules to 30 instructors.
o Helped in the construction of boats and windsurfs.
