Frédéric Matuszek graduated with a design degree from the Paris High Institute of Design and Architecture in 1988. He quickly built a strong foundation of experience working with renowned architects and designers companies (Jean-Michel Wilmotte, Frank O. Gehry) then during 6 years as executive designer for Paris and Hong Kong based object design and color design firms.
Frederic has been passionately focused on interactive design, 1996 was a turning point winning a TV contest at Canal + La nuit Cyber he starts as a young interactive designer for Publicis or motion designer for Schlumberger. In early 1997 he join McCann Erikson - Interpublic Group, for clients such as Apple and Opel.
Frederic then joined Netforce web agency as a webdesigner on La Redoute a PPR company, or Mauboussin Place Vendôme. With this first e-commerce experience under his belt Frederic joined "le book" Christphe Gauthier creative team (Creative syndicate) and successfully take on the role of freelance Art Director Designing print, video and interactive pieces for clients such as: le Sénat, VU Net, Studio Grolier, Hachette multimédia, Index +, Coplanet, Publipanel, Schlumberger, Ratp, M6 Publicité, Altédia, Axa.
Since then, he has delved deeper in graphic design gaining recognition as a top ten interactive designers from the magazine l'Evènement du Jeudi.
Frederic Matuszek teamed up with Marc Simoncini in 1999 taking in charge the Art Direction and lead creative for the i-portals Europe, he successfully kickoff a fresh innovative graphic mood for iFrance, iEspana, iItaly, that was later selled to Vivendi Universal.
In 2001 Frederic became senior executive Art Director of meetic Group, heading up the design for European market, he pushed up the brands and enjoy this company far more than any other experience.
Since then Frederic has leading design for Meetic Group, and today match.com, developing brand strategies, kicking off updates, UI design, style guides, innovation. Improving navigation process through information architecture users scenarii and ergonomy principle, analysing statistics to improve each new version.
And creative solutions for: corporate identity, financial communications, events, mobile services, print, photo shoots, advertising, CRM, billboards... building day after day a strong brand based on best practice in design and trying to achieve the highest quality in design.
Frederic says "I love designing great products — not just good design, - but great products for a large audience. I also love challenging myself with new projects. Winning a competitive, benchmarking a product against competitors is what keeps me going."
