Gerald Holubowicz

Summary

Gerald Holubowicz is a visual journalist at his core, a digital media producer and interactive story designer. He founded and directed the interactive studio Chewbahat Storytelling Lab (www.chewbah.at) and - since it's inception in 2012 - he's the president and co-founder of Storycode Paris (www.storycodeparis.org). Gerald has worked as photojournalist for more than 12 years for various world renowned photo agencies such as Laif, Polaris images or Abaca in France and in the U.S, covering political, economical and entertainment news. A career that provided him with a well rounded understanding of how to bridge the gap between visual journalism, technology & storytelling. Since 2010, he's committed to share his passion for journalism, storytelling and new media and teaches interactive storytelling and interactive journalism courses in various schools such as the Journalism school of Sciences Po Paris, Sciences Po Annecy (Transmedia Master degree), the CFJ and CFPJ schools (Paris), Marnes-la-Vall��e University (Culture et Metiers du Web), INA (French National Institute of Audiovisual), the EJDG journalism school of the Stendhal University (in Grenoble) and at EMI-CFD Paris among others. Gerald is the lead author and co-director of "Moneyocracy" a Transmedia documentary about Political Campaign Finance Laws in the U.S (www.moneyocracy-project.com) and his work on the interactive documentary "Grozny: 9 Cities" lead him to receive the 2014 Web Journalism Trophy at the prestigious Bayeux War Correspondant Festival.
