Gilles Régnier
Photographer, Gilles Régnier
Self-taught, Gilles Régnier caught the photography virus during his trips in Mediterranean sea, within the national marine. With origins in Normandy, he decides to become professional in 2001, and takes his lens on big nautical events and sailing competitions, for sponsor and press publications.
His theme of predilection : the sea, a world which fascinates him. In 2005, he starts a work in spring-tides, from the Northern seashore of France to the no barrier frontier of Normandy / Brittany, with an emphasis in his native region, Normandy... With an infinite patience, he immortalizes the maritime landscape which changes along the hours, throughout the tides.
The summer 2011, he realizes the exhibition « The Spring-Tides » at Varengeville - sur- Mer, in the Manor of Ango, for two months. He diversifies his practice into visual arts and fixed images, to editing his book « The Spring-Tides », artistic and cultural inspiration that he wishes to share.
2001 - 2012MISSIONS with works'order and adaptation of previous works about sea, landscape at seashore, sail, and photo, either for individuals with an shop online access, or for professionnals of the image into cultural or commercial usage, linked to press, internet, editing publications, exhibitions, communication and advertising, television, cinema.
