My expertise in technology, project management and team leader has been done first on manufacturers side working for Alcaltel and NetCentrex (Comverse today) and then on operator side working for B3G-Telecom (now Numericable), Ornis (now Risc Group) and nowdays Mediaserv.
This working experience has been done both in France and abroad with three years in California, in Silicon Valley.
Thanks to my various positions: Development Engineer (coding in C++), Senior Technical Manager (Conduct of national and international technical projects for major operators and ISPs), Engineering Manager (managing R&D teams), my professional experiences allow me to grasp and understand the challenges and difficulties of creating a solution, deploy and exploit it.
With my last two jobs, I was asked to take more responsibilities within my companies. First with Ornis: willing to create a new business unit to launch a new offer of IP telephony, they hunted me as a Technical Director of ToIP. My role has been twofold: to participate in the creation of business model while creating the technical offer Centrex and Trunking of Ornis. Then with Mediaserv where in addition of being responsible for the creation of new services (voice, data, IPTV, capacity planning, platform, etc..), I am member of the Management Committee and therefore participates in the positioning, strategy and guidelines of Mediaserv.

In charge of the engineering team that gathers data/network, transport, voice, IPTV/WebTV, security and platform skills. The activities of my team are the definition and the design of new products as well as optimization, the sizing and the evolution of existing platforms/solutions/backbone.
My role, in addition to get involved in the technical choices, is to control and manage to insure the success of the engineering projects. I also coordinate engineering activities with other departments. As team leader, I manage the members who constitute it. I am a member of the Executive Committee and handle the budget of Engineering.
Achieved projects: network cost optimization (cache server, compression solution, negotiation of IP transit, new data-center), extension of IPTV services (new head-end with CAS, paying package, new STB), improvement of service quality (new IAD, deployment of DWDM, softswitch version migration, setting up a task force for troubleshooting, voice probes), new offers (VPN SSL solution, off the shelf enterprise voice offer, Wifi wholesale solution), choice of the Call-Center solution, relationship with constructors/vendors, report, etc.
2006 - 2008[Courbevoie, France]
Technical manager of the telephony offer that includes softswitch, IVR, voicemail, billing and interconnection.
My role was to start the Ornis Centrex Business Unit by creating, deploying, validating and then operating the Centrex and Trunking architectures and solutions. I also participated to the elaboration of the business model and the commercial offer of the BU. I accompanied the sales force on key accounts.
Achieved projects: implementation of the solution on time, creation of the provisioning process, creation of the supervision process, implementation of the interconnection with France Telecom, research and prospection of suppliers (phones, IAD) and operators (wholesale), creation of the accounting, 1st rank in quality on 01Net.com by IP-Label, etc.
2005 - 2006[Paris, France]
Manager of the team responsible for the creation and validation of all new products and services of the telephony platform.
My role was to participate in the committee consisted of Marketing and Management where is defined the new products/solutions. Then I ensured their achievement by the engineering.
Achieved projects: new trunking architecture, integration of new devices (IP Phone, IAD), validation of an operator station, etc.
2003 - 2007Development of a PUC Handball Web Site ( http://puchandball.free.fr ) - Application using MySQL database and PHP, HTML and javascript languages
2003 - 2005[Paris, France]
In charge to deliver the NetCentrex solution in compliance to customer requirements and contracts. This included a specification phase (workshop with customer, technical risk identification, specifications for R&D, customer documentation) then a management phase supervising of the engineering team deploying the solution.
Achieved projects: Centrex architectures of France Telecom (France), Tiscali (Italy) and AOL (Germany). Training of customers, partners and employees.
2000 - 2003[San Jose, California - USA]
Technical link between France R&D and the local operational team. My jobs included different roles: support (partners and customers), training, professional service and pre-sales.
Achieved projects: on-site support (Cisco, Genuity, etc.), delegate for interop tests conducted by Miercom, exponent in tradeshow, customer relationship (Voxeo), trainer (LatAmNap, Suntek), etc.
2000 - 2000[Caen, France]
Development of a billing module for NetCentrex products (done with Visual C++ 6.0 and using NetCentrex libraries and C++ language).
1998 - 2001[Massy Palaiseau, France]
Port a 16 bits application (Windows 3.11) to a 32bits application (Windows 95/98/NT). This application allows to manage Alcatel Business System mobile phones (menus, icons, bells…). It involves ORACLE database connections and User Interface (MFC, done with Visual C++ 6.0).
1998 - 1998[Southampton, England]
Port a GPS (Global Position System) software from Windows 3.11 to the new operating system for handheld PC Windows CE (done with Visual C++ 5.0 and requiring a GPS receiver connected to a port).
