Setup and development of new business in Belgium for this French based Computer Value added reseller. I visited hundreds of Belgian hospitals to promote our revolutionary archiving system. In one year I was able to initiate +10s of negotiations and even signed a promising 100 000€ deal with the famous Anderlecht hospital which set the milestone for future deals. In this industry, the sale cycle is over 2 years.

Developed from scratch the entire marketing offer for France. I conceived a 1M€ marketing budget and sold it successfully to the Spanish headquarters. I had to supervise 3 people in the planning and execution of the budget and adapt worldwide product launches for the French market. I was the interface between the sales and the engineers. I also had to localise and manage the online Marketing and e-commerce website (thousands of clients).

It was the start of the internet boom and I decided to be part of it. I won a bid for major internet project called Ordipha, it was a BtoB para pharmaceutical e-commerce website of 1M€, based on an oracle platform. I acted as a chief of project, followed training at Oracle and managed a team of 10 engineers: developers, designers, web architects, database modellers and testers. I successfully delivered the product, on time and on budget. I learned the principles of project management.

I was also starting to supervise the blossoming E-commerce offer.

I was selected to setup and manage the new company flagship 800sqm superstore located on the Champs-Elysées. I had to recruit, and manage 20 employees, 1 Million € of monthly rotating portfolio, improve sales and margins through segmented offers. One day, Evo group’s President refused my business plan to setup an online store for the group. I was already feeling the new market opportunity…

SOFTWARE MANAGER
I Developed from scratch the software offer of Evo Group, a chain of PC superstores in Paris. The concept of PC superstores emerged at that time, and PC HALLE, Evo’s brand name, was the very first one in France. I recruited and trained a team of 6 people, setup the software display of 2 large PC superstores, negotiated and purchased the 1 M€ monthly software stock, supervised sales, advertising, and logistics issues. I was in charge of this business unit which, in return, helped the company grow on their PC solutions sales.
