Julie CARON
Ingénieur d'études en thermique du bâtiment (Nexity)
I want to play a part in generalising comfortable and healthy as well as environment-friendly building.
I graduated in September 2009 from a French engineering and executive management school, where I acquired a knowledge of energy issues and tools to tackle them, as well as basis of civil engineering.
I aim to invest my abilities and my motivation in sustainable design and innovating solutions to reduce the energy consumption of buildings.
2009 - 2009Final-year internship at aib (Duisburg, Germany), an architects’ office :
- extended the abilities of a tool designed to anticipate the running costs of sketched buildings;
- ensured the efficient use of local energy resources on a particular project;
- designed a tool giving access to selected guidelines and links as well as application programs to carry out useful analyses on projects (Microsoft Excel VBA).
2009 - 2009Organised a European seminar in Luxemburg at BAUM Consult (Munich, Germany) – which provides consulting services to companies and the public sector regarding sustainable development – as part of the European project SEMS (Sustainable Energy Management System, www.sems-project.eu ).
2008 - 2008Internship, at ELITHIS Ingénierie (Dijon, France), a French design office specialized in Heating, Cooling and Ventilation systems, Plumbing, Electricity and Energy Efficiency:
- put in tenders for contracts related to Energy Efficiency: drew up technical documents, methodological specifications, contract prices, planning…
- reviewed and implemented the procedure followed to handle projects
- led a statutory study in an apartment building taking into account both energy losses and inputs.
