Justine SERVANT
Consultante RH et Handicap. ADHERE RH
Being both French and English, I had a multi-cultural upbringing in a diverse environment.
My initial education and training – a degree in Management and Engineering of Tourism in France and a Masters degree in the Montreal School of Management in Canada – have permitted me to acquire skills and know-how in business engineering and management. Throughout all my years of study, the constant leitmotif has been the accessibility of tourism and culture for people with impairments.
My studies and observations, enhanced by my first work experiences, especially steering the "Tourism and Disability" network in Midi-Pyrénées, made me realise that professional integration is the key to a successful and lasting social integration of disabled people.
Where do we spend most of our time? At work
Where do we meet most of our new social relations? At work
What is the first factor for integration? Work
I am currently working in a consultancy cabinet specialised in Human Resources, Corporate Social Responsibility and Diversity Management. In my role as Human Resources consultant, my areas of expertise and action are practical and varied. They all have a common theme: taking difference into account in a professional context.
Nowadays, because of the legal obligations, the professional integration of disabled people corresponds to an essential reflexion for enterprises and especially for Human Resources departments. This theme could be the starting point and foundation for a more general idea, which could be the integration of Diversity in HR actions.
It is not complicated, it’s complex.
It is not difficult, it’s just different
