Leibenguth Joseph
Technical Advisor - Deputy Innovation & Manufacturing Technology
Joseph Leibenguth has an Engineering Degree in Mechanics, Electronics and Software from ECAM Lyon and a Master of Business Administration from IAE Paris. He began his career in 1984 as a Development Engineer on the field of Meter design for Schlumberger industrial Gaz Division.
After several management positions in R&D, Engineering and Manufacturing he was in charge for several years of Hardware Development and Engineering WW for Smart Cards and leaded:
- Product research and development following Market demand for Cards
-Technology in Hardware and Microelectronics
- Future Process definition and Key equipment sourcing to support Product development
- Maintain competitive advantage in machine development also optimize & elvolve equipment to continuously improve process, yield and productivity
He was appointed Technical Advisor and New Business Opportunities Manager in September 2003. In that position, he provided technical assistance to advanced technology projects, evaluate the industrial potential of partners, qualify and sponsor the launch of new business opportunities.
At the date of the merger between Gemplus and Axalto (2006), he leaded the manufacturing technology & process synergy program in Manufacturing before taking over the responsibility of Advances Technologies reporting directly to the Manufacturing EVP.
He is currently appointed Technical Advisor and Deputy Innovation and Manufacturing Technology more particularly in charge of Innovation and New Technologies.
