Maéva T.
Assistante de programmation, Rencontres Audiovisuelles
About five years ago I've joined Rencontres Audiovisuelles as a volunteer then a trainee and I am now an employee.
Rencontres Audiovisuelles is a non profit association which organizes notably an International Short Film Festival and an Animated Film Festival every year in Lille.
For the Animated Film Festival, I'm deeply involved in the Convention as I program the Asia pole, and assist on Digital Arts pole and Video Games pole.
My speciality is asian films, in particular nowadays japanese indie animation.
Rencontres Audiovisuelles also runs a conceptual screening venue named "l'hybride" and I am part of its programmation comitee.
Despite my amateur skills I manage the site of my webzine Le Bar Cult (on hiatus at the moment) which is specialized in indie and alternative cultures. I, myself, am quite interested into East-Asia and rock'n'roll subjects. Moreover, I am realizing a file about the revival of post-punk in London.
As attached to the artists, I was part of Weirdos Club, an event which took place last June 26th in Paris and which tried to recreate the atmosphere of the english clubs with numerous musicians from London.
I am motivated and autonomous, any job in a domain connected with the art, the culture, the communication, the media or the journalism deeply interests me!
2009 - 2009By the mean of an article per week, I've been in contact with most of cultural actors in Duala (Cameroon) and I have learned some skills with the professional journalists.
I've been published twice on four weeks.
