Porteur de projet, whizzat: Mise à disposition d'Experts sur des projets de R&D

33BordeauxAquitaine - France

To create, innovate & valorize. At all levels, that are my main objectives:

- Professional through innovation & valorization ;

- Personal through associative projects.

This is not business, this is a way to change minds and to make high value projects become profitable for all. First for the project leader, but also to all the communities which may take advantage of it. Let's make Business X.0: a place where innovation, profitability & social development may get along altogether.

keywords that best describe me (in random order):
__° Collaborative: what I kept from my associative projects;
__° Innovation: professional background + curiosity about what's new;
__° Social: since a company has a social role;
__° Science: just to keep asking why;

Currently, I am developing projects but open to any opportunity to develop them in a major company interested either by employment of atypic profiles, or Innovation.

My scientific background:
Electrophysiologist trained theoretically in Poitiers and practically in Bordeaux, first on smooth muscle cells, then on neuronal cell lines, I have been recording activities in brain slices from cortex, hippocampus. Our projects were devoted to better understand how epilepsy can occur, in models of neocortical epilepsies. After screening hypotheses on mice models, we tried to validate them on human tissues obtained from children with intractable epilepsy. I still have a collaboration running with these projects.
I was then Temporary Assistant in Teaching and Research in Bordeaux. I was teaching physiology to the 2nd & 3rd year of Pharmaceutical students and make my research in the Roger Marthan Lab, in Physiology of Respiratory circulation. My projects focus on electrophysiological alterations of pathological smooth muscle cells from airway or vascular lung tissue. As in my post-doc, these projects are highly translational and involve mouse tissue and human tissue (more details @ www.marcchevalier.fr ).

From the start of my PhD thesis, I have been involved as well in collaborative associative work, to enhance the relationship between the private & academic research. In the beginning, this was associated with trying to increase the proportion of French PhD recruited in companies and trying to prepare PhDs to apply in these companies. You will find more information on www.biotechno.asso.fr (hopefully soon in English).

We create our company with two activities: the first one will allow technology developer & companies to promote their activities worldwide. The second is complementary to the first one since we define the market segmentation of these new technologies to further help the entrepreneurs or companies to identify their best market of development. Contact me for further informations, international mobility in France, US Canada & UK.

Organization and Strategy
Professional experience

Create and federate a national network which aim is to find solutions for seniors (50-plus) marginalized by the current societal changes, including job seekers, vulnerable or in the process of becoming. In France.

We propose Intergenerational solutions for seniors' social integration and full valuation of their knowledge & skills. Integrate collective solidarity is urgently needed in our business world.

We are defining our operational strategy to achieve this goal, and we may be effective at the beginning of January 2010. Join our national team of development, or our local team in Bordeaux.

You can contact me for both National or Bordeaux area development teams, as well as contacting me for further information about the association (if you may benefit of the association).

Research and Development
2007 - 2008

(from may.2007 to sep.2008)

Principal investigator: Andrew K. Tryba
Topic: Neocortical epilepsy mechanisms in human and mouse.
Techniques:

* Visual & Blind Patch-Clamp on isolated neurons and brain slices Fluorescence Microscopy (coupled to patch-clamp)on slices, Multi-Electrode Array.
* Western blot, Co-immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry.
* Mouse models, Human tissues.

Description of the research project: How to better understand neocortical epilepsies by new strategies? How to screen hypotheses on mouse to transfert our knowledge in human? How to analyze recordings made on human brain slices obtained from patients with neocortical intractable epilepsies?

Research and Development
2003 - 2007

Company: "Laboratoire de Signalisation et Interactions Cellulaires", CNRS UMR 5017, Université Bordeaux 2.
Location: Bordeaux, Université Bordeaux 2, Site Carreire (locate)
Principal Investigators: Jean-François Quignard & Chantal Mironneau
Topic: Involvement of T-type calcium channels in cellular excitability
Techniques:

* Visual patch-clamp (voltage & current clamp) on inverted microscope;
* Fluorescence microscopy to mesure [Ca2+]i variations (Indo-1) coupled to patch-clamp;
* Confocal Microscopy;
* Vascular dissociation protocols, cell lines culture & transfection (JetPEI);
* RT-PCR, Western blots, Simulations

Description of the research project:
T-type calcium channels represent a specific class of voltage activated calcium channels that have been associated with rhythm generation in excitable cells. Which specific properties support this specific ability? On what extend it can be define as a pacemaker channel?
