My speciality is organisational auditing and analysis including analysis of HR, financial and general management systems. I am able to complete thorough reviews of organisations and/or to provide an analysis of a specific organisational issue. In all cases I draft comprehensive reports of the findings and make recommendations in conjunction with the client.
I have been highly successful in auditing/analysing more than 130 different organisations including the following:
-A division of the Ministry of Health in New Zealand
-Large multi-disciplinary nationalised health providers
-University of Auckland health contract
-National health providers in New Zealand
-Medium sized hotel
-Large dairy farm
-Providers of care for children aged 0-17yrs
-Youth organisations
-Providers of family support services including social work
and/or counselling
I have also undertaken an evaluation of the immunisation coordination services on a national basis in New Zealand.
2003 - 2008I have undertaken organisational auditing or analyses of more than 130 organisations of various sizes and types including health and welfare agencies, a government department and corporate entities in New Zealand. Detailed reports provide recommendations to improve financial, management, governance and HR systems.
I am also a technical writer of policies and procedures for organisations.
Outcome mapping or participatory strategic planning is an aspect I have been using since 2006 after training in Guelph University, Canada.
2002 - 2004Managed team of contract specialists which negotiated and monitored the progress of government funded contracts with Not for profit organisations. In the social workers in schools programme was the second coordinator employed during which time I facilitated the development of software used on a national basis which is now used by all social workers in schools and which is used both for evaluation and monitoring of the programme. Also had oversight of at least two expansions to the programme and the consequent tender processes.
1999 - 2002Managed up to $20m portfolio of contracts for government funding of welfare services including a number of the highest risk NGO providers of care for children. Negotiated contracts, negotiated monitoring systems and managed the ongoing contractual relationships.
1994 - 1999Contracted to government department to audit approximately 20-25 providers per annum to ensure they met government requirements for HR practices, financial systems, governance functions, administration and monitoring and evaluation systems. Provided detailed reports which included recommendations for improvements where necessary.
