Marie Vanesse
Peintre en Marbres et Bois | Techniques traditionnelles
From the Institut supérieur de peinture Van der Kelen – Logelain in Brussels I acquired the skills of wood and marble imitations, trompe-l’œil and other decorative techniques, based on old techniques, using oil or water.
In 2001 after successfully completing the studies I was awarded with a silver medal.
I have skill to realize patinas and glazes of various styles, gold-leaf gilding, stencils, etc.
Decors, decorative walls and trompe-l’œil :
- on walls
- in my workshop eg ;
. on canvas (to be mounted)
. on panels
We use traditional decorating products as oil, water, casein, lime paint.
We also use old natural « home-made » recipes (paints with egg, beer and even potato!)
