2007 - 2009Based in Production Centre, focusing on projects, maintaining and improving factory uptime.
Activities / Responsibilities:
• In charge of new projects, machine installations, developments, and refurbishments, including design and implementation of a fully-automatic label splicer, and a total line renovation for new products.
• Management of line mechanics, including daily duties, reaction to breakdowns, and maintenance scheduling.
• Accountable for monthly budget for ordering components and spares.
• Involved in new machine installations and developments, including sole responsibility for a line conversion project.
• Responsible for capital investment projects, including design and implementation of mechanic’s log database, noise reduction project and production waste decrease.
2003 - 2003Rexquote is a company which designs and converts plant machinery so that it runs on train tracks as well as the road.
Activities / Responsibilities:
- Worked as a design engineer using several different CAD packages.
- Designed and produced metal components with the technicians during product development, using machine tools and CAM.
Achievements:
- Designed several key components in the development of a new product for the CAT 5C bulldozer.
- Worked to strict deadlines, and scheduled work to fit in with tight time frames.
