As a Safety Engineer, I am involved in system and software assessment or independent verification.
Main tasks:
- system safety analysis (PHA),
- breaking down system level hazards and safety functions on the different sub-systems,
- documentation critical reviews on the whole life cycle,
- safety requirements traçability from system to software,
- modelling (automata, SADT, data flows, control flows, Petri nets, UML...),
- FMECA / SEEA,
- tests coverage analysis (tests levels, tests cases regarding requirements, tests benches...)
- code statical analysis (coding rules, safety subset of a language, run-time errors...)
- critical code review to verify that requirements are well implemented,
- development teams training to good practices and state of the art according standards.
