I know since I'm very young which kind of job I want to do : journalism. After a literary A-Level, I went to study history and geography in the Paris IV Sorbonne, with the aim of improving my cultivation. After three years, I got the bachelor degree but never finished the master degree I started. After trying two times to enter a public journalism high school in Paris, I decided to speed up my career and realize at the same time one of my dream : I moved to China in 2005, when I was 24 years old. Before, I used to work for some websites and magazine as freelance journalist, but I must admit that my trip in China gave me much more opportunities.
I stayed one whole year without coming back France for my first travel in China. Now, I'm still spending most of my time in the country of Laozi, where I teach french in private school, and manage my own website www.icilachine.com.
I expect to keep a link with China all my life. I feel this country as my second home after France, and even if I come back to live in France after two or three years, I would like to keep the opportunity to go there at least once a year.
www.icilachine.com was created to express my view about China : I talk about culture, cinema, martial arts, food or even news... I want to make an authentic website and hope that one day it will become one of the best about China.
I founded www.icilachine.com in august 2008 with a webmaster named Vincent Wauthy. Our website's aim is to introduce China and its culture to all the people who are looking informations about it.
We expect to give authentic informations and to let people discover the richness of chinese culture and society.
We talk about news, tourism, culture (music, art, language, history), philosophy (taoïsm, confucianism, buddhism...), martial arts, cinema, medecine and food...
When we have opportunities, we realize our own reports in China. 99% of the articles are our own, the only copies we add to our content are extracts from classical books such Lunyu, Zhuang Zi, Dao De Jing, Yijing...
Since February 2007, and a first published article, I work as freelance journalist for France Football, the main french weekly about football.
I overall cover subjects in China.
Chine Informations is one of the most important french website about China : www.chine-informations.com
My job is to write once a week an analysis paper concerning one topic in Chinese news. I already wrote about many different subjects like Liu Xiang, the job ob foreign teacher in China, the relationship between China and the Dalaï Lama...
Since the summer 2006, I work as freelance journalist for two magazines from Européenne de magazines. The two are Karaté Bushido and Energies, and they focus on Martial Arts. My job is to realize some reportings and interview about Master, schools and typical places in China. Sometimes I work for them in France, according to their needs.
2006 - 2007www.toutelachine.com is a specialized website. The focus was to cover the main news concerning China and french companies in this country. We often realized some interviews of people living in China and we made some photo reportings about some specific places.
2005 - 2006During one year, I worked as freelance journalist with the magazine Dragon. My job was to find and realize subjects about chinese martial arts and culture.
