I own a master degree in mechanical engineering with two interesting minors:
1- Industrial Design Engineering
2- Industrial Quality / Reliability
My interest in product and processes as a quality engineer led me to the costs interest. How can we reach the just necessary?
I've now changed position for 6 months and took over the Purchasing Manager position.
My job is easy to sum up: manage purchasing function with efficiency. My main targets are to meet the budget, ensure KPIs are met for all projects under development, participate to supplier panel right-sizing.
I believe in key values: condifence in suppliers, common interest, collaboration and relative transparency approach.
I work for Delphi - Electronic and Electrical Architecture.
1st as a Lead Advanced Quality Engineer, my tasks are to:
- Participate to sourcing activities
- Qualify supplier manufacturing plants: MCA (Manufacturing Capability Assessment)
- Coordinate component releases: PPAPs for connectics, wires, various injected parts
- lead APQP activities for parts in development
2nd as a Supplier Quality Engineer in charge of "french" suppliers plants, my roles are to:
- Follow up and improve supplier performance: ppm, number of complaints, repeat issues, on time delivery, shortage, spills...
- Detect and set up appropriate activities with low "performers": QFS (Quality Focus Supplier)
- Audit Supplier sites
- Follow up agreed action plans
2006 - 2008I used to work for Autoliv Electronics Europe. This company is a worldwide leader in automotive safety, a pioneer in both seat belts and airbags, and a technology leader with the widest product offering for automotive safety (airbags, seat belts pretentioners, night vision).
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, my main goal is to manage the supplier Quality performance. My main tasks are:
- Audit and perform prequalification process at potential suppliers
- Quality assurance and part approval process for parts at supplier sites (S-APQP, PPAP)
- Support production quality and manage escalated concerns
- Review AS51 results and perform supplier improvement program activities
- Respect ASPP/ASM, Autoliv standards, internal safety, environmental and ethic rules
2005 - 2006I worked in Segula Technologies, one of the leader in automotive consulting. I was part of the Innovation Dept.
My missions were to:
- Define improvement axis for future vehicle passive safety
- Define innovative concepts for a 3 front places vehicle
Outputs/Results:
- Presentation of a state-of-art of existing and on going technologies in terms of passive/active safety
- Definition of a Functional and Technical Specification
- Innovative concepts proposals to substantially improve different life cycle phases: driving, front choc accident, lateral choc accident

2004 - 2004I've been a student trainee for 7 months in NCS - Pyrotechnie et Technologies (part of AUTOLIV group). Worlwide leader of inflators and squibs manufacturing.
I was part of the APS service (Autoliv Production System).
My missions were to:
- Supervise Continuous improvement workshops: TPM, Auto Quality
- Train all workshop attendees to Kaizen philosophy and methods
- Follow up chosen metrics (scrap level, machine downtime level)
- Communicate results to the appropriate collaborators
Results:
- Downtime due to process issues divided by 2 in 3 months on 2 production lines
- All operators and responsible of 2 production lines trained to audit systematically their production lines prior starting (systematic inspection, manager weekly audit)
- Standards creation for Autonomous Operator Reaction Plan on 2 squibs lines
- Scrap level divided by 2 in 3 months on 2 squibs lines
