I have several SAP colleagues, on Viadeo, who would tell you : “Olivier ? He is the expert of exotic SAP modules”. But now, PM, CS, QM and PS, these modules dear to my profile, have lost their exoticism, since SAP has included them into its PLM offer. Besides, this tendency becomes more marked with the perception of our customers, who think it is no longer exotic to speak about “industrial Maintenance” or “Quality” within the framework of an ERP Project, but on the contrary, it is appropriate to treat them like a PP or MM subject, in a same objective of reducing costs.
As my four modules, don’t you believe I am the exotic consultant which nobody understand, and who treat all sorts of things whose customers don’t’ need. I am convinced of these industrial fields, and I like to speak about it, in front of a customer. The moment I prefer : the blueprint phase ... the phase during which you build processes, in the middle of business rules !
