Olivier SANDBERG

Admitted in October 2007 in the 1st year of the Superior Professional Cycle of the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris in the class of Piano of M Marc André, he obtains the Execution's Patent in June 2009 and is allowed in 5th Division Teaching.

Young 27-year-old Pianist, he begins the music from the age of 4 years with the Violin as main instrument. It is only later that Olivier Sandberg takes the Piano for passion and unique instrument. In Violin, he works with great masters such as Mrs Larissa Kolos, M Eduard Wulfson and M Gérard Poulet at the Ecole Cortot in 2005. To the academy Maurice Ravel, he obtains in 1999 the 3rd prize of the city of Paris for his Diploma of the End of Studies and the same year a 1st Superior prize. He participates in Master International Classes of Châteaux de Champs, the city of Nancy, the Sorbonne and the academy Serge Rachmaninov and gives concerts in Italy, in Germany and in France as soloist and chambriste. He particularly likes interpreting three Sonatas of Brahms as well as Sonatas and Partitas of Bach.

It is in 2001, thanks to the Teaching of M Thierry Montlahuc, that he discover his most powerful passion for the music with for instrument the Piano. From 2005, Sandberg dedicates himself only to this instrument and in 2007 he obtains the Superior First prize of the competition of the Archipel and appears the same year at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris in the class of M Marc André. During these two years, he plays Chopin, Debussy, Bach, Dutilleux, Schubert, Haydn, Beethoven, Rachmaninov, Khatchatourian. For the competition of 5th Division, he will interpret the Boat on the Ocean of Ravel, a Study and the 2nd Ballad of Chopin as well as a Sonata of Haydn.
