Olivier Zekri

I'm a French agronomist, passionate about viticulture and wine. I'm working on this sector since 2007 now as viticulturist consultant.

I felt in love about wine when I was still student. Starting to work as a wine seller in wineries as a summer job during 2 years, I was definitively convinced that it was my world. I like to taste it but not only, also talk about it, share it and with it, so many others things.
I got a lot of knowledge about french wine during my studies and good skills as wine sellers during this time in Alsace, Languedoc or Loire Valley.
In parrallel, I followed scientifics studies in agriculture school.

When I finish my degrees with a Master in Vegetal Specialized production in Angers - France. I worked in India during 6 month in a winery near Bombay as vineyard assistant manager, in charge of the pathogen prevention in the vineyard.
Then, I spent one year in Argentina - Mendoza - in the biggest wine area there to develop projects in the vineyard (mainly with malbec variety) for a French Nursery. I have a wide vision about wine now. How french can feel it, and how different they can feel it abroad.

I'm currently working for this nursery, Mercier Frères which is the biggest one in France and one of the main actor in the world.
I'm in charge of our developpement project in the nursery and I'm adviser for our client abroad.

Happy to work in this wine world which allow me to match my wine passion with travels. I speak French, English and Spanish and I travel a lot.

I'm a book lovers and I'm impressed about all the writers. I love novels for how they will take you for amazing trip. I like essays (mainly in philosophy) for how they can make my mind thinking...

I'm a big communicator, and I believe on networking ... for everything...
