57 years old, Graduate of ISG (Institut Supérieur de Gestion – Paris) Management School, fluent in four languages, Patrick has devoted the majority of his career to distribution of Perfumes, Cosmetics and other luxury goods (such as high-end accessories, watches, wine and champagne). He began his career in foreign branches in Holland, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland as Marketing Manager or Export Zone Director (L’Oreal Group – Perfume and Beauty Products Division ; Laboratoires Pierre Fabre), then as Export Director (L.T. Piver Perfumes ; E. Coudray ; Matis ; Dixor ; Heitland and Petre International), or as Export Consultant (Export Plus ; ID Partners).
Patrick is now offering his services as International Development Consultant, generally to small to medium-sized companies wishing to expand their exports of Perfumes, Cosmetics and Luxury Goods, notably in Asia and Europe. He is a specialist in establishing manufacturing partnerships (for outsourcing production to emerging countries such as China, India, Russia or Poland), and new commercial channels (identifying exclusive distributors or sales agents, creating subsidiaries or branch offices, opening selective sales points and dedicated sales counters in high-end department stores), especially between Europe and Asia or between France and Germany, where he has established close relationships with many specialized distributors for these products.
Patrick’s customized involvement as Export Consultant has contributed to the expansion of the export activities of numerous French or foreign companies into the European and Asian markets, including restructuring of export efforts in key markets where those firms were not well represented. He provides for these companies a true “keys in hand” Export Department on a timeshare basis, offering in-depth analysis of target markets, feasibility studies, identification of commercial networks, participation in numerous professional conventions, training of staff and sub-contractors in the techniques of sales and export marketing for the Perfume, Cosmetics and Luxury Goods field, as well as contract negotiation, commercial oversight and expansion of sales in the selected markets.
