Raphaël Marvie
Fondateur, Softosapiens
Associate Professor in Computer Science and entrepreneur, my field of expertise / topic of interest is software engineering and customer satisfaction.
I have started by working in a small company of engineering and
services in computer science, then I spent some time at the Computer Science research lab of the University of Manchester (UK). During my PhD, I have spent some time at the TJ Watson Research Center of IBM (NY, US) and then at the DSTC (Brisbane, Australia).
For 10 years, I am teaching object and component oriented software development (analysis, design, programming, test) as well as distributed computing mainly in Master courses. I am currently head of the Master's in Software Engineering (with a focus on large applications). My research activities focus on model driven development and code generation. From time to time, I provide some consulting for small to large companies.
My favorite approach to software is agile development (Scrum, XP, Iterative) and pragmatic in order to reach user / client satisfaction through the fast production of high quality dedicated systems. Summarizing in only two words: Feedback and Automation.
Technological and knowledge sharing as well as collaboration between academia and the industry are part of my business motivations.
