Responsible for the design team at Viadeo. We innovate through the creation of new products, improve through redesigning and rethinking existing features on the site, and maintain consistency through adhering to the brand image.
2009 - 2010After being asked to relocate to Paris in the summer of 2009, I began building and designing new products. A small selection of these include:
- A fully-fledged content management system built from scratch using the CodeIgniter PHP framework and MySQL. The system enables the commercial department to implement branded community "landing pages" quickly and easily. An example of a such a page can be found here: http://www.hospitalityhub.com
- Various product redesigns and implementations across Viadeo.com
- Homepage design, sign up mechanism, and integration with Viadeo for UNYK ( http://www.unyk.com )
- Apna circle and Viadeo integration designs
2008 - 2009MySpace is a social networking website with an interactive, user-submitted network of friends, personal profiles, blogs, groups, photos, music, and videos for teenagers and adults internationally. Job roles included:
- Managing, designing, and implementing a wide range of communities for big-name brands such as Vodafone, Universal & Paramount Pictures, Nike, and Coca-Cola. Some of these projects required a large amount of organisation and were deployed across multiple territories spanning Europe, Latin America, and the United States.
- Building tools and developing standards for designers across Europe and Latin America in building brand communities on MySpace.com.
- Assisting the advertising operations and international sales teams by advising on creative artifacts and providing technical feasibility evaluations.
2007 - 2008Small start-up in the very competitive dietary industry based in Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London. Job roles included:
- Maintaining the online shop
- Developing new features and modules for the existing web site
- Designing various buttons, icons, and animations
- Designing and implementing new microsites using a variety of technologies including Adobe Flash, XML, PHP, and MySQL
