Romain De Perry

Area Sales Manager at CERMEX, a French Company belonging to the Swedish TETRA LAVAL Group and one of the most important world suppliers of end-of-line packaging machinery (case packers, shrink-wrappers, palletizers...). Responsible for the Sales within the Northern Half of the UK, I have either technical, sales and project management responsibilities. Based in the UK, I am also the coordinator for various CERMEX historical key accounts and a support for UK sales and marketing policies.

Engineer under instructions in Research & Development at Arcelor Research in Aviles (Spain), I was in charged of the optimization of thickness performances on the rolling mill that produces DWI steel for commercial steel cans. After a while understanding the rolling-mill, I made my own real trials during DWI production and I made my own conclusions suggesting 10 ways to optimize thickness performances.
During the position, I was in contact with other mills to share our different points of view and I interacted a lot with production people and R&D people working on other topics.

Engineer under instructions within the "Satellites division" of SAFT in Poitiers (France). I was in charge of restructuring the tooling production part of the division. SAFT manufacture batteries for satellites and use specific and expensive tooling to build them. I then reorganized the storage of these 6,000 parts according to production and flow issues and I developed a database fitted with an ergonomic HMI software for a better tooling follow-up and normalization. This database has been developed in parallel with the "Defense Division".
