After a Master's degree in European public affairs (2001), I worked for my local city council in France where I was in charge of a training project for civil servants.
I then emigraded to North of Scotland to work as a business information officer within the Highland Council's European team. I liaised with local businesses on trade-related issues, competition law and public procurement and updated companies on funding schemes. I also got involved in the production of a weekly news bulletin.
After Scotland, I moved to South Africa in 2006 where I have been working as a trade attaché for the French embassy in Johannesburg, in areas related to skills development and affirmative action policies. I helped promote French know-how in technical training by setting up trade missions for French training companies. I did some extended work on the Black Economic Empowerment policies that influence the business environment as I wrote and sold a study on the subject. In connection with the 2010 World Cup hosted in South Africa, I also wrote a study on the media and advertising market and put together a directory of media contacts.
Throughout my career to date I have developed solid research and project management skills, and have easily adapted to those different working environments. I have been involved with a number of subjects with a clear emphasis on skills development and training.
I am more than happy to exchange ideas and infos with members of Viadeo!
