Managed the design and development of software components for an object-oriented client/server CASE tool (Oceanic/GraphTalk) used for life-insurance software systems. Managed a project (6 M$/year) using these components to implement an insurance company’s entire new information system.

Managed several large projects for French administrations (Ministère de l'Intérieur, Assemblée Nationale, Police Nationale), in the fields of high-security electronic mail and dedicated networks.
At Bull’s R&D centre for Artificial Intelligence (CEDIAG) designed AI software for Problem Solving purposes in Industry and Commerce.
Developed Charme, a dedicated programming language and C++ library used to solve discrete combinatorial problems. Participated to several advanced object-oriented software development teams, for pan-European Esprit projects. Also in charge of "Constraint Logic Programming" lectures at Ecole Centrale Paris (a major French engineer school).
1986 - 19911986/1991 : Free-Lance Consulting Engineer
Conducted various consulting actions for Bull Group (from 9 months to 2 years long), including : design of X-400 messaging servers, competition assessments, and technical supervision of EDI developments. Special free-lance contract with France Telecom from 1986 to 1996, to assess the IT market studies bought or conducted by FT. Work, as “technology watcher”, consisted in evaluating the interest of more than 600 major studies in the telecom field, and synthesizing their conclusions into FT's internal strategic information system.
1985 - 19861985/1986 : Sinfor S.A., Software Engineer
Designed and developed industrial software, including real-time signal processing programs, and code used for the production of France Télécom's telephone cards.
