Always on the lookout for new technologies related to the Internet, my leitmotiv is to find solutions useful and effective for users. R & D is essential for me to do business and all part of my job.
I dived in the computer world at 12 years old when my father, an architect, has a passion for computers. Getting started with Invaders and Flight Simulator on my Apple IIe, in monochrome with the command BROWN ;). Then PC with "Leanord" and first DOS commands, first lines of code in Turbo Pascal and use of AutoCAD and Architrion.
To start into the professional world I chose a Master in Computer Engineering at the University of La Rochelle. I appreciated the professional approach and long-term internships in companies.
It was at this time, in 1996, that I discovered the Internet, HTML and OOP with Java. I quickly make this my favourite area. In 1998 I choose Improve ( www.improve.fr ) for my internship, an innovative company that had made the choice of OOP and Java. It makes me sign a CDI from the 4th month of my internship of 6 months and I entered in the professional world in full-time.
After spending 4 years in service department with different types of users and applications, I decided to complete my education with a DRT TISI (Technological Research in Information Technology applied to industrial systems) in order to allow me adding to my skills a R & D practice. I chose "enterprise mobile computing" for research subject, I wrote a thesis ( http://xdi.improve-technologies.com/memoire/mem... ), and developed an open source framework: XDI ( http://xdi.improve-technologies.com ) allowing the synchronization of data between applications sharing common data types.
After that I finally chosen to devote myself in medical computing. The Improve's health department is booming thanks to software ResUrgences ( www.resurgences.com : Medical Record Management in emergency department), I bring my skills to improve the product and especially the HIS (Hospital Information System ) integration .
Following the success of this solution I developed two products:
- ResEDIm: EAI dedicated to health systems
- ResUrgences SMUR: a solution for mobile emergency department : SMUR (Service Mobile d'Urgences et de Reanimation)
I am now 10 years of experience in information technology, which led me to become an expert in different areas: language (Objective-C, Java, XML, XSLT, script), Eclipse IDE, ORMs (Hibernate, EOF, Cayenne), RIA technologies (Flex, Java FX, Silverlight, GWT, AJAX) and RDA (Eclipse RCP, Air, Swing), Web application frameworks (WebObjects, Struts, JSF) , data exchange and integration (ESB/ EDI / EAI, Web Services, REST), as well as mastering the different tools (OS: Windows, Linux, Mac, Database: Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, servers Applications: Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere).
I could not acquire all of this information without make the choice of technology research in full time. My Laptop is my second brain ;)
