Graduated in Civil Engineering, I am working for more than 10 years in the Oil and Gas Industry. Previously TOTAL E&P employee within the Field Operations department of their upstream division, I am now working as a free lance for the national Oil & Gas Company, SONANGOL P&P, as the Head of Inspection and Repair works.
During the past years, I have been involved in the maintenance, inspection and repair of onshore, offshore and deep offshore producing and storage facilities as technical support in head offices.

• Set up the Inspection standards and procedures applicable on Block 2, Block 3/05 and Block 4 Assets,

• Ensure the 3rd party continuous classification of a mooring buoy, a FSO and its mooring lines,

• Management of sub-sea operations for inspections and surveys requiring diving and ROV techniques,

2004 - 2006Within the Block 3 Asset, Head of Inspection Department in charge of the implementation of a policy and procedures in compliance with TOTAL rules and specifications and related to the integrity of Pressure systems equipment, rigid and flexible pipelines, surface and sub-sea structures, Lifting equipment, Marine terminal facilities and a Floating and Storage Unit.
• Set up the inspection strategy based on national regulations, risk based and prescriptive approaches,
• Management of inspection activities using SAP/PM,
• Ensure the 3rd party continuous classification of a FSO,
• Management of the painting maintenance and scaffolding contract,
• Inspection budget preparation and follow up,
• Involvement in the operatorship transfer of Block 3/05 Asset to SONANGOL P&P and secondment during one year on the 1st of July 2005 as Head of Inspection.
2003 - 2004Within the Surface Operations Department, Methods Maintenance Engineer in charge of:
• Management of three global maintenance contracts related to offshore and onshore plants and an oil Terminal (Annual cost of 14 M€)
• Preparation and management of a call out contract for training and supply of production operators
• Co-ordination of transverse maintenance activities
• Administration of the SAP/PM module
2001 - 2003Within the Maintenance & Integrity department, Inspection engineer in assistance to the upstream subsidiaries and new projects for enforcement of inspection methodologies in compliance with in-house rules and standards:
• Development of a corporate Risk Based Inspection software (FAME+) for criticality assessment of Pressure Vessels, piping systems and pressure safety devices, followed by implementation and personnel training in subsidiaries,
• Assistance to the subsidiaries for Inspection data preparation during SAP implementation project in all upstream subsidiaries (PM module),
• Participation in Inspection Audits and Project Technical Reviews (Congo, North Sea, South Korea)
1999 - 2001Within the Maintenance and Modification department, engineer in charge of the construction activities related to pipeline repair and civil works:
• Development of an Emergency Pipeline Repair System for onshore pipelines located in a mountainous area with severe climatic conditions (Budget: 900,000 USD):
- Elaboration of inspection and repair procedures for various damage or defect to the pipeline (metal loss, hole, crack, dent, buckle, major rupture),
- Definition of necessary personnel and equipment,
- Definition and procurement of the required equipment for pipeline repair.
• Maintenance of the onshore infrastructures - Pipeline right of Way, service roads, bridges, station, … (Budget: 1,500,000 USD):
- Survey of the condition of all infrastructures and preparation of subsequent reports,
- Preparation of call for tender for the construction of shed, jetty and new buildings,
- Preparation of civil works contracts (scope of work, offer analyse, recommendations),
- Supervision of the work site (50 nationals and 1 expatriate),
- Budget preparation and follow-up of all relative costs,
