Tangentielle Nord Railways line Project Manager, Réseau Ferré de France

75013ParisÎle-de-France - France

Hello,
After studies in EPF engineer French school, I worked for an important public switching project.

Then I was a Project Manager by assuming turn-keys projects in respect of delay and expenses, from the definition of the architecture, the development and beginning of exploitation following the acceptance by the client. The interest consisted in being a Project Manager of small teams in order to have the capacities to dialog, to pilot, with respect to costs and delays.

After three years spent in CNET (Centre National d’Etudes de Télécommunications), I was responsible in an accredited test laboratory of a team for the production of interoperability and conformance test report. I participated and technically managed few European projects. I also made networks expert analysis and audits for clients of the laboratory.

Then, I worked in Cegetel (to realize system studies and define architectures for fixed and mobiles networks), in Telecom Développement (long distance operator for other operators).
I managed the call for tenders for the transport transmission network and the data network and then was responsible in the High Speed Data Department of a team of eighteen persons to define the high speed data network, to check deployment after global integration on a test platform with a fully acceptance, in accordance with the supervision centre for clients. I reported to the company managers.

Vivendi invested in Maroc Telecom, so I was in charge to control technical architectures and investments for the network extensions and investments proposed by Maroc Telecom.

For more than seven years, I have worked for Réseau Ferré de France (railways French infrastructures holder) as a Telecoms workmanship expert, the SNCF company working with mandate or as workforce. SNCF keeps a very hard company culture and even if working together is often difficult, the technical and managerial competences are respected.

After eleven months living in Dubaï (UAE), I am now Project Manager in Réseau Ferré de France for the new railways line being built around the north of Paris (28 kms, 14 railways stations).

I am able to manage multi-cultural teams, to pilot and discuss when a conflict appears, with respect to customer needs, and build efficient and transparent work relationships with the providers.

Sincerely yours,
Sylvie Russelle

EXPERIENCE SUMMARY

After the end of studies in EPF school, I began to work for an important public switching project. Then I worked in another consulting company as a Project Manager by assuming turn-keys projects in respect of delay and expenses, from the definition of the architecture, the development and beginning of exploitation following the acceptance by the client. The interest consisted in being a Project Manager of small teams in order to have the capacities to dialog, to pilot, even in respecting costs and delays.

After three years spent in CNET (Centre National d’Etudes de Télécommunications), I was responsible in an accredited test laboratory of a team for the production of interoperability and conformance test report. The knowledge of the new protocols and architectures was mandatory and I participated and technically managed few European projects. In parallel, I made expert analysis and audits for clients of the laboratory.

Two new operators were born (two GSM licenses at the beginning, France, I worked in Cegetel (to realize system studies and define architectures for fixed and mobiles networks) then in Telecom Développement (long distance operator for other operators). When I finished to manage the call for tenders for the transport transmission network and the data network, I worked in the High Speed Data Department: I was responsible for a team of eighteen persons to define the high speed data network, to check deployment after global validation and integration on a test platform with a fully acceptance, to work with the exploitation centre for clients and to produce reports for the company managers.

Then, Vivendi invested in Maroc Telecom, so I was in charge to control technical architectures and investments for the network extensions and investments decided by Maroc Telecom.

For more than six years, I have worked for Réseau Ferré de France (holder of railways French infrastructures) as a Telecoms prescriptor, the SNCF company working with mandate or as workforce. Telecoms are now a mandatory element to assure the trains circulation with security and quality of service of high level, in a fully respect of the very hard railways exploitation rules. SNCF keeps a very hard company culture and even if working together is often difficult, the technical and managerial competences are respected.

I am now able to manage multi-cultural teams, to pilot and discuss when a conflict appears, with respect to customer needs, and to build efficient and transparent work relationships with the providers. My technical skills help me to be a manager without calling into question by speakers or negotiators.
