Courtney received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Studies (an interdisciplinary program focused on Geopolitics and International Business) from Francis Marion University, a comprehensive liberal arts university in South Carolina, USA. He is bilingual in French and has studied, worked and lived in France. His personal professional interest is in the area of research into the development and reconstruction of economic thought and the impact of the real economics on business strategy practice and process innovation (or how an enterprise might adapt to change given behavior that appears irrational).
In 2010, Courtney received a certificate in entrepreneurship from ESCEM Tours-Poitiers in Poitiers, France following his team entrepreneurial competition where his team placed in the Top 3 having received the honor of "most innovative business plan." Courtney spends his time between living in South Carolina, USA and Paris, France.
His professional life began in 2002. Since then he has worked in customer service management, event coordination, market development, market research, business strategy, client relations, supply chain, sourcing, SAP (user end), business to business and business to client sales, process improvement, partner relations, lead acquisition and human resources.
In his spare time, Courtney writes poetry and commentary. He also enjoys digital photography, art exhibits and international travel.
