Since 1988 examiner at the European Patent Office. My field of specializing is the processing of plastics, with an emphasis on moulds and the way they are designed and they function.
Moulding techniques (for plastics, resins and similar viscous materials), with an emphasis on rotational moulding, casting, injection moulding. More recently, I have been following the developments of rapid prototyping, in particular stereolithography, SLS, 3D printing, "optical moulding" and the connex activities usually linked.
Mainly active in the field of search, i.e. retrieving technical anticipations or best prior art, my job now also includes the legal aspect, i.e. orienting the applicant towards a wording of a claim that is "patentable", considering the existing prior art, and the legal rules and requirements of the (international) patent conventions.
Occasionally I have performed (often with great pleasure and dedication) various translation jobs, for internal communication, local associations, international caritative organisations, etc...
