Yann GILBERT
Technical R&D Coordinator & SAP PLM/PS Project Manager, MSS France (MEGGITT)
My experience so far gave me a large expertise in several aspects:
- Project Management
- SAP migration and data translation
- Management, training, negotiation;
- Knowledge of the eco-conception processes, LCA, EIME, referentials in sustainable development.
- Trilingual in Spanish and English; I had been living abroad for 7 years: 4.5 years in Spain, 2.5 years in English speaking countries (UK, Ireland, Oceania).
- Computing skills: Windows XP, Excel on high level, SAP Business System, People Soft 8, Mac Os X, Oracle, Sonar and AS400, Photoshop CS2, SharePoint.
As part of my professional project, I am currently looking for a position as a project manager or consultant in either SAP migrations or Sustainable Development (mainly eco-conception).
Indeed, I believe that fully integrated systems, most of all under the Product Lifecycle Management, are worth to be used to undergo an implementation of a sustainable development or eco-conception policy. In fact, the PLM SAP module and the eco-conception are closely linked.
- Manage the R&D Team in terms of Project Management: make sure that projects are achieved on time, plan the resources, etc...
- Manage R&D KPIs
- Put in place improvement processes and procedures in the department
- Make sure that cross-functionnal communication is achieved
- be the reference for PLM support and processes through SAP and internal procedures
2010 - 2011MSS France is part of the aeronautic industry and of the MEGGITT group; it's currently undergoing a new ERP implementation in order to have a globally integrated management solution. That's why SAP was chosen.
My mission as an SAP Project Manager on the PLM & Engineering modules is:
- to be sure that the solution is adapted to MSS France local and global needs
- to make sure that the 3 modules Project Systems, Engineering and PLM are correctly integrated together
- to represent the company for the PLM (MM, MPN, EC&IM, QM, IML and OPS Planning), Engineering, and PS modules
- to discuss and validate the guidelines and policies to implement correctly the solution throughout the group
- to test the different versions to achieve a final version
- to integrate the data migration
- to train the future users to the different SAP modules
- to prepare the data migration by converting local data into SAP language
- to make sure that the migration from the legacy system to SAP goes smooth
- to assure support on the new solution
2009 - 2010This project consisted in creating a consulting company in eco-conception for the electronic industry mainly. I developped a specific tool that was designed to help engineers measure the level of eco-conception of their work and help them to take decisions regarding environmental requirements.
The project has been in standby since then due to financial shortage.
2008 - 2008Project Manager (2008 – 8 months):
Missions:
* Implement a tool designed to help in the decision making process in terms of eco-conception on the EEE (Electrical and Electronical Equipments); identify the environmental impacts and aspects, and the performance products/material; elaborate an evaluation method of the performance applicable to Sagem Communications products
Achievements:
* Project management under the ISO 14001, ISO 14040 and ISO 14065 methods
* Planification of the validation steps of the project and validation by Alpha and Bêta tests with the future users (engineers and managers); analysis of dismantling sheets and nomenclatures of Sagem Communications products
* Writing the user's manuals, the "quick guide", and the administrator guide in order to update and maintain the tool; organisation and planification of the different training and information sessions, plus support and consulting sessions.
Results:
* Implementation has been successful: the tool is now used on different industrial projects;
* Training and information of about 10% of the personnel in 2 months (around 60 people)

Results:
* The referential is now used by the association and local administrations to evaluate their sustainable development performance
