ESSP is the Operator of EGNOS, the European Space Based Augmentation to the US GPS.

FDC is an engineering and consulting company specialised in satellite positioning and navigation (GNSS), working mainly in Consortiums with the leading European industrialists, for organisations like Eurocontrol, European Commission, GSA, CNES, French Ministry of transport, French Ministry of defence.

PROJECTS FOR EUROCONTROL

? Airworthiness certification and civil-military interoperability
Identification of means to improve the interoperability of State aircraft navigation capacities with regards to the ECAC airspace ATM requirements in view of 4D operations as envisaged in SESAR
- Analysis of regulatory and technical texts related to airworthiness and operational certification for civil aircraft for navigation equipments, analysis of the ICAO PBN manual
- Identification of the European military airworthiness certification frameworks and standards
- Participation to two case studies: A400M and Eurofighter
- Review of the work in collaboration with EASA, UK CAA, DGAC, DIRCAM and NATO
Participation to a similar study for the French Ministry of Defence in cooperation with Airbus

? ICAO and EUROCAE standardisation of GBAS to support Category II/III approach and landing operations
- Participation to the development of ICAO SARPs
- Contribution to the EUROCAE High-Level Requirements
- Participation to EUROCAE, ICAO Navigation System Panel and Eurocontrol LATO meetings

? Study of the role of GNSS as part of CNS/ATM
Participation to the analysis of the need for GPS augmentation systems to enable or to provide additional benefits to a set of defined ADS-B applications

PROJECTS FOR THE GALILEO JOINT UNDERTAKING (GJU) AND THE EUROPEAN GNSS SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY (GSA)
European Commission 6th Framework Programme for Research and Development (EC FP6) projects

? Standardisation and Certification of future Galileo PRS equipments (PACIFIC project, Partners: including Thales Avionics and Thales Communication)
- Analysis of needs in terms of standardisation, security and application certification, preparation of a roadmap

? Management of the GEM project providing technical support needed for Galileo including aviation standardisation, certification, frequency and SAR aspects (29 European partners including Airbus and Thales Avionics)
- Administrative Management and technical coordination, interface with customer
- Planning, budget and resources management

? GARMIS project (follow on of the GEM project)
- Management of the Galileo standardisation work package (including for aviation)
- Initial analyses for a future multi-frequency/multi-constellation GBAS CATIII solution

? Extension of EGNOS over the Arab Civil Aviation Commission region (Partner: Thales Alenia Space)
- Definition of the preliminary operational and institutional framework, interaction with local civil aviation authorities
- Preparation of a GNSS applications development and of a demonstration/training/awareness plan

PROJECTS FOR CNES

? Experience feedback on the GPS system and recommendations for the management of Galileo and EGNOS
- Analysis of the evolutions of the GPS satellite constellation
? Feasibility study for an application aiming at localizing dependant people (eg. Alzheimer?s patient)
