    Montréal 2006 - 2011 Within Alcan Packaging Europe I am in charge of transport procurement for all the sites (70% road transport – 25% sea freight – 15% airfreight) in coordination with the procurement strategy of each BU:
    • Define and implement procurement strategy and processes:
    o Portfolio analysis: Total number of suppliers 430 and 33 suppliers = 80% of the spent.
    o Structured and regular RFQ (some on-line RFQ) at national, regional or BU level leading to 5 to 20% saving on addressable spent.
    o Supplier rationalisation: from 630 suppliers in 2005 to 440 in 2009.
    • Implement contract with Core Carriers:
    o Based on KPIs (service level, quality level, acceptance rate and EHS rate) associated with bonus-malus clauses to monitor supplier performance and set service levels.
    o Develop with them a continuous improvement approach.
    • Functional management of local buyer:
    o Local initiative review and assistance on local project.
    o Feedback on market movements, benchmark, risk management.
    • Take part in Supply Chain projects aiming to improve transport costs and quality of service:
    o Transport an warehouse consolidation (between 5 and 35% saving)
    o Implementation of in-house TMS

    - Train and assist local team on purchasing methodologies
  • ALCAN - Lead Buyer Paper – Corrugated – (15M€) – Transport (20M€) – 14 industrial sites – Paris (F-75)

    Montréal 2003 - 2005 • Define the paper, corrugated and transport procurement strategies (sourcing, negotiation, contracts, implementation and follow-up of compliance:
    o Paper:
     Supplier rationalisation from 25 to 5 main suppliers representing 70% of the business. Regular RFQ leading to 3% saving on average per year.
     Reduce mono-sourcing situation, project on reducing paper gauge.
    o Corrugated: European RFQ leading to portfolio rationalisation (from 10 to 2 European suppliers and 15% savings).
    o Transport: First structured RFQ. Beginning of the portfolio rationalisation.
    • Definition with the Alcan paper lead buyer of a common procurement strategy for the new company Alcan/Pechiney and its implementation. Calculation and follow up of the associated synergies.
  • ALCAN - Site purchasing manager – Dijon (F-21)

    Montréal 2001 - 2002 • Manage local purchases – 40M € (investments, sub-contracting…) in collaboration with members of the cross-functional team (maintenance, EHS, production).
    • Promote and implement the group frame agreements on Raw materials and Non Production items (MRO, office Supply…).
    • Follow-up of the Raw material group procurement strategies and take part in « total costs » projects (implementation of consignment stocks, harmonization and reduction of references…).
    • Define and implement the purchasing processes for the ISO 9001 version 2000 certification of the site.
  • Business To Performance – Archamps près Genève (F-74) - Consultant Buyer – CAMIF – Niort (F-79)

    2000 - 2001 At customer’s premises and in agreement with the customer and Business To Performance associates :
    • Audit of customer portfolio and customer’s purchasing department and processes to identify opportunities : proposal of new organisation, methodologies and reporting methods.
    • Lead buyer Paper, Envelops and Transport : 9M€
    • Support the customer’s buyers (evaluation of the need – functional definition – sourcing, negotiation and reporting) on their purchasing families : Printing, Shaping, Routing and Photoengraving : 45M€
  • Transport Régis Martelet – Dijon (F-21) - Warehouse manager

    1995 - 1999 Within an independent regional transport company (250 employees – turnover : 40 000 K€) and reporting directly to the logistics director (36% of the company activities) :
    • Responsible for a warehouse : 5000 m 2 – 4000 palettes – 1500 references – 6 employees dedicated to one pharmaceutical customer for which main missions :
    o Follow-up and evaluate the suppliers in collaboration with the customer’s purchasing department.
    o SAP/R3 – Module WM – implementation and staff training.
    • In charge of answering the RFQ and negotiating with the customer’s buyers.
    • Define and implement commons processes for all the company’s warehouses and computerize the operations.
