Position : Network/Security Engineer

Member of the final technical escalation team, based in France, for the network/security support for 43 countries in Africa. Maintains and supports network and security infrastructure of the WAN African networks :

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Re-engineering of enterprise network designs to meet increasing customer demands.
- Design network addresses scheme/routing protocols to maintain the efficiency of network design and interface with ISPs for all new link installations.
- Maintain regular day to day contacts with the IT Managers to qualify opportunities and respond to them
- Communicate with Networking team members to support/ grow the existing Network in the assigned country.
- Provide up to 3rd line support across the core LAN and WAN Network
- Evaluated customer needs and proposed solutions for those needs
- Maintain routers and firewalls configurations, updated and changed configurations depending on corporate requirements.
- Led network technicians and network engineers locally.
- Plan and coordinate the installations on site with the IT managers
- Monitor and control infrastructure performance for response, throughput, and availability.
- Design network addresses scheme/routing protocols to maintain the efficiency of network design and liaise with ISPs for all new link installations & fault reporting.
- Maintain network documentation including diagrams, maps, configuration, etc.

170 Firewall Juniper/netscreen, 250Cisco L3, 55 WAN Acceleration Platforms Juniper WXC series, 4 SSL VPN appliances (Juniper SA 4500), 41 Network infrastructures LAN/MAN/WAN in Africa, 50 Internet accesses, connections VSAT (Sattelite),VOIP, WLL BREEZCOM.

Position : Network Architect ( contract 4 months)

My responsibilities for this position are to design networks architectures for the company :
- Network Architecture Design, Engineering, Provisioning, Test, and Delivering of network projects, based on several multi-platform technologies (Cisco Systems, Allied Telesis).
- Selects appropriate technologies and products from portfolio to meet business requirements
-Elaboration of a tutorial for the network production team.
- Redaction of Technical Architecture Design ( TDD), Engineering, Provisioning, Test, and Delivering of network projects, based on several multi-platform technologies (Cisco Systems, Allied Telesis).

Projects :

-Implementation in a new Building :
- Design of a new LAN network (150 users)
- Connection to wan (with Local Link and Ethernet Link)

- Implementation of news layer 2 switches for 200 agencies across the territory :
- Redaction of a Request For Proposal (RFP)
- Choice of the integrator
- training for the network administrators (Allied Telesis products)


- Implementation of the new platform of communication ACD Avaya (10 sites)
- Re-engineering of the current network infrastructure
