We also supply and support the opticians with various value creative marketing and sales services: exclusive promotions, training, seminars, merchandising.
    Core business is on offering to independent retail member shops attractive improved overall conditions and access to new or quality brands and products. We also focus on incremental business for both the member-shops and the suppliers. Finding and implementing economies of scale, speeding-up the relationship and ordering process directly between the shops and the suppliers or their local distributors, are also essential to support this industry.
    Our efficiency and responsiveness depends on local AOG entities in each country where we have member shops, all related to each other through the AOG global business platform and team.

  • Rodenstock GmBH - Managing Director Asia and Regional Asia-Pacific VP & Sales Director

    2005 - 2008 I started Q3 in 2005 in this German company, HQ in Munich, worldwide number 4th Optical company with about 400 Mio€ Sales.
    My mission, after relocating Q1 2006 to Bangkok, has been and is still to set-up and manage our sales and distribution in Asia (15 employees) and to drive 2 subsidiaries in Japan (26 employees) and Australia (19 employees).
    Sales have been growing over 150% compared to 2005 (in 3 years)in the region Asia.
    I am leaving this company now and am ready for a new challenge in the region Asia-Pacific.

    Key milestones since I joinded this company: set-up the office and recruit the full sales and marketing team for Asia in Bangkok, open Customer Service for Asia, business agreements with all historical distributors and wholesalers, direct business development with key accounts (chains), set-up new distribution in 'new' markets, focus on China, develop appropriate marketing and sales activities relevant for Asia, launch latest premium products for both Rodenstock branded frames and optical lenses, so as for our licence frames branded Porsche Design.
  • Transitions Optical Inc. - Business Director France and Benelux

    Pinellas Park 2004 - 2005 I took over the France and Benelux markets (main markets and sales in Europe) to drive the sales and marketing activities. Re-launched our activites and team in the Benelux where the structure and sales were decreasing.
    Implemented major TV campaign in France with all needed activities B-to-B and B-to-C.
    Coordinated strategy and plans with the main global customer and second shareholder of the company: Essilor.
    I decided to leave mid 2005 after more than 11 years with this company.
  • Transitions Optical Inc. - Business Development Director - Germanic Countries and Eastern Europe

    Pinellas Park 2002 - 2004 Returned to Europe to implement similar efforts to launch and support the brand in Grmanic countries, Central and Eastern Europe. Key milestones: Set-up a sales team of 4 for the Germanic Countries, launched the brand and activities in Eastern Europe, distribution and promotion agreements with retail chains in Central and Eastern Europe, TV consumer campaign in Germany.
  • Transitions Optical Inc. - Sales and Marketing Manager Asia-Pacific

    Pinellas Park 1999 - 2001 I took over in Asia-Pacific in the Regional HQ in Singapore the responsability to develop in Asia the sales and partnerships.
    Key focus was to create a solid brand with the appropriate regional messages, tools and communication specificities, to drive premium distribution agreements within different channels (lenscasters, wholesale, retail) and to set up the sales promotions and activities.
  • Transitions Optical - Global Market Research and Business Development Manager

    Pinellas Park 1998 - 1999 I was relocated to the HQ in the US (Tampa-Florida) to develop the international sales and marketing programs and support the various branches world-wide. This HQ experience was very beneficial to develop me further and to implement at the same time the international best-practices and tools for this American company (created in 1992).
  • Transitions Optical Inc. - Marketing Manager

    Pinellas Park 1994 - 1998 Started with Transitions Optical in 1994. This company is manufacturing and distributing premium branded high tech optical lenses to the largest optical companies in the world. The mission was to drive and to support marketing and sales activities B-to-B and B-to-C and to create during these many years a wordwide brand for a premium high value consumer product.
    I worked first in Europe to start the structure there with a small team and launched in pretty all markets with all European partners.
  • Schlumberger Industries - Marketing and Sales

    1993 - 1994 First job based in Belgium to develop the marketing and BtoB sales support tools for Water and Gas Meetering Department.
    Moved to Alsace Region in France in other plant to support for the industrial Gas metering factory.
    Started to work for Schlumberger Industries in India in 1989 and 1990 (2 x 3 months) to develop the gas and water-metering business in India: explored JV opportunity and analysed the market potential. This supported and was used by Schlumberger Industries to sign a JV and to enter the India market for consumer and industrial gas and water meters.
    Continued during my studies to work for Schlumberger Industries part time (>50%) during 6 months in 1991-1992 while in China to develop the complete Water Meter market study and prepare for a market penetration.
