Mission
1. Define and lead the purchasing strategy in order to increase BT competitivity and profitability
2. Manage the supplier base
3. Work together with Product, Engineering and Quality Dept, the buyers and the Management Team
Responsibilities
o Guaranty a competitive supply base is available for all markets in order to respect the budgets
o Consistency of the Commodity Strategy with BT targets
o Help defining and implementing the industrial strategy (pressing and machining activities notably)
o Market intelligence
o Work with the team of buyers to define and implement the Sourcing strategy and link global strategy and execution
o Drive the Sourcing Plan including a Supplier Reduction plan and Global sourcing activities
o Update Commodity Strategy at least twice a year, and present it for validation to the CPO
o Guaranty that Purchase Contracts are placed accordingly to the strategy
o Take part to the standardisation and platform development, set budgets
o Drive and Monitor the selection process of new suppliers, from identification to qualification, audits, up to the validation and contracting
o Responsible for the major tenders
o Negotiate contracts : NDA, Long Term Supplier Agreement…
o Drive improvement plan as needed
o Drive or oversee the negotiations, including volumes commitment, royalties agreements on after sales, etc
o Development of complex, global SRM
